Senior Manager, Digital Merchandising/Optimization: Phoenix, AZ

The Senior Manager, Digital Merchandising/Optimization drives the strategy and vision for onsite merchandising. Reporting to the Senior Director, the Senior Manager will strategize, develop and implement best practices for onsite search initiatives and capabilities, product recommendations, and product ratings & reviews to achieve sales plan. The Senior Manager will lead the development of an omnichannel search strategy. This position will help define the digital search strategies that create multi channel customer behavior, drive higher share of wallet and higher lifetime value.


Responsibilities:
•Analyze business trends, key metrics, and online customer experience and react as necessary to ensure financial KPIs are in range and being met or exceeded.
•Drive Sales, conversion, CTR, Conversion Rate by utilizing and implementing search optimizations, recommendation locations and zones, automations, and technologies
•Develop and execute business strategies related to product recommendations, site navigation, and other business tasks.
•Develop onsite merchandising and promotion strategies across e-commerce and new multi-channel initiatives
•Establish best practices and cross platform optimizations
•Accountable for delivery of new capabilities in collaboration with the product managers. This position will have a clear understanding of the capabilities, and deliver processes for implantation across platforms.
•Partner with digital merchandising to identify business optimization needs and drive strategy to implement
•Partner with Product Management, Testing, and IT teams to champion business optimization initiatives.
•Develop comprehensive weekly metrics reporting and clear results communication.
•Oversee the delivery of business priorities in collaboration with Merchandising and demand planning teams.
•Analyze reporting to identify performance trends and opportunities. Communicate results to organization and use information to drive the Onsite merchandising strategy
•Perform competitive analyses on search trends in the marketplace to benchmark current capabilities and help drive the Onsite Search strategy
•Own the onsite search tool, vendor relationship, road map, and tool administration
•Manage team in the determination and execution of onsite search strategy, searchable fields, relevancy ranking strategies and business rules (biases, thesaurus, redirects)
•Lead team in the development of search data strategies and approaches
•Develop overall onsite search strategy and framework to onsite search relevancy and performance, including translating long term plans to immediate actions, reviewing competitors and Best in Class industry experiences while developing a deep understanding of customer onsite search behaviors.
•Responsible for the development and training of direct reports.

Requirements:
•Bachelors degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing or equivalent work experience
•7+ years of merchandising experience
•7+ years of experience in eCommerce
•5+ years of experience utilizing online analytics to optimize sales and customer experience
•3-5 years of experience working with an online platform (GSI, WCA, or equivalent)
•5+ years of experience working with analytics package (Omniture, Coremetrics or equivalent)
•SEO knowledge preferred
•Demonstrate and articulate an understanding of how the technical solutions impact the business.
•Understand the latest technology trends, new functionality and market demands.
•Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
•Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
•Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft office applications, including intermediate capabilities with Excel and Word
•High degree of internet savvy, with a curiosity and enthusiasm for digital trends
•Excellent problem solving skills able to identify, analyze and propose solutions to various technical and business issues
•Above average command of English; proficiency with a variety of writing styles
•Good design aesthetic and a strong ability to judge visual appearance, ensuring alignment with brand and enterprise standards
•Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, self-starter environment serving as a catalyst for change and managing multiple work streams simultaneously
•The ability to understand and explain complex issues, but also clearly identify and communicate the situation at a high level
•The ability to use and understand financial and numerical data to make decisions and influence outcomes
•Ability to synthesize data, identify trends and recommend viable solutions
•Exhibit professional initiative and entrepreneurial drive
