Senior Director of Digital Marketing: The Woodlands, TX

The Senior Director of Digital Marketing will serve as the Subject Matter Expert and Digital Leader for the company. He/she will lead and develop the digital marketing strategy for the Company, including, digital creative, social media, mobile and email communications, and conversion rate optimization of the website. The Sr. Director of Digital Marketing will manage multiple agencies and work with an array of different departments within the organization, including IT, Credit, and Distribution

Responsibilities:

The Director of Digital Media & Marketing's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides leadership and directs the strategy for all digital marketing for the company including:
    • Digital Creative
    • Email Marketing
    • Social Media
    • Mobile marketing
    • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
  • Develops strategic marketing plans designed to drive customer awareness, acquisition, and retention through online programs
  • Plans the development path for future digital marketing – platform migration, mobile credit app, website upgrades, etc.
  • Stays abreast of changes and best practices in digital marketing to ensure the company stays ahead of the curve on new platforms or ways to interact with customers
  • Develops the content strategy and calendar for all digital communications that tie with the broader marketing campaign and strategy (look/feel of website, email, blog posts, social media posts, etc)
  • Provides support for overall changes and ongoing strategy
  • Tracks business trends and monitors overall site usage data
  • Identifies areas of change on the website to improve user experience
  • Responsible for tracking and evaluating the ROI on all digital marketing programs
  • Tracks and analyzes competitive website trends, changes and the associated impact for the website
  • Sets the strategy and oversees implementation of the highly-important credit application process online, including:
    • Different ways to apply
    • How payments are communicated on products
    • Paying bills
    • Regularly tracks credit applications and how media is affecting them
  • Works closely with Merchandising and Marketing teams to understand upcoming promotions and priorities so that they are clearly communicated in all mediums
  • Maintains regular contact and coordinates digital marketing efforts and initiatives with IT and Credit teams
  • Develops the editorial calendar and strategy for email to a large database of customers
  • Leads the mobile strategy, including:
    • Mobile website
    • Responsive web design
    • Mobile media
    • Potential future apps for payment/account management
  • Presents to senior leadership the status of various digital marketing programs and makes recommendations for optimizing
  • Manages and motivates internal and external agency resources
  • Trains, mentors, and develops the skills and careers of his/her staff
  • Serves as a thought leader and subject matter expert to colleagues and internal clients

Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree in business, marketing, communication or related degree
  • An advanced business or marketing degree is preferred
  • At least 7 to 10 years of marketing experience with a minimum of five years in digital marketing.
  • Significant digital experience on the client-side, ideally in a retail environment and/or a fast paced consumer goods company.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, while being able to prioritize the most important initiatives with the greatest organizational impact
  • Flexibility and adaptability required to work with limited resources
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities at the same time
  • Confidence combined with strong communication and presentation skills
  • High level of personal integrity
  • Self-starter who works well without direct or close supervision and can create an environment infused with energy and enthusiasm
  • Resourceful with a "hands-on” approach
  • Goal-oriented team player capable of supporting and sustaining a positive work environment
