Email Marketing Lead: Malvern, PA

The Email Marketing Lead will report directly to the Email Marketing Manager and work closely with other marketing channels, the content team, graphic design, and merchandising. The key responsibilities of this role will include the strategic creation and execution of promotional based emails. The role will also be responsible for strategically setting the promotional email calendar, reporting on A/B Tests, Quality Assurance and assisting in email execution. The Lead will work on other email projects as assigned by manager.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Creation and Execution
    • Review past metrics to help build future promotion with a focus on driving traffic and revenue
    • Collaborate with merchandising to determine the best mix of products to feature
    • Enter creative requests for email assets including copy, creative direction, and necessary versions
    • Craft exciting subject lines, continually improving open rates
    • Work within the ESP platform for campaign set-up and reporting
    • Analyze weekly results looking for trends and areas that can be improved upon
    • Ability to create customer segments, leveraging email database to allow for proper campaign versioning
    • Responsible for improvement of key performance indicators such as open rate and click-through rate
    • Collaborate with Email Marketing Manager to propose and execute new tests that feature well defined variables, producing meaningful results
    • Independently manage multiple projects from start to finish, while contributing to other email marketing efforts including strategy and brainstorming
    • Work directly with other departments to ensure accuracy of all incoming assets including merchandising lists, promo coupons/codes, and creative assets
    • Work closely with design team to produce exciting email, driving traffic and sales
    • Template Testing to improve click-through rate and keep creative fresh and exciting
  • High Level Reporting:
    • Assist in analyzing weekly results to further improve marketing campaign performance for all email types
    • Maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly email marketing reports
  • Other Tasks
    • Efficiently code promotional emails with HTML best practices in mind
    • Schedule emails on appropriate sending days to ensure email outreach is not interrupted
    • Code emails dynamically following coding outline
    • Follow a strict QA process ensuring there are no deployed email errors
    • Troubleshoot and edit any html issues
    • Ensure all marketing email campaigns are deployed accurately by creating an outline to catch any mistakes before deployment

Requirements:

  •  Undergraduate degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 4+ years of email marketing and coding experience required
  • Experience using an Email Service Provider platform is preferred or demonstrated ability to learn similar web based tools
  • Experience coding HTML emails
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Willing to learn and grow in a fast pace environment
  • Updating relevant metrics
