Director - Digital Marketing & Content: Warren, MI

Our client is seeking an experienced Digital Marketer and leader to join their team as Director - Digital Marketing and Content.
 
In this high visibility / high impact position, directly reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, you will be in charge of architecture and implementation of the company's Digital Marketing strategy.  The goal of the position is to create sustainable customer traffic sufficient to achieve their goal of creating one of the highest performing Digital/Unified Commerce sites in the industry.  They are rapidly expanding their digital team as part of an aggressive multi-year growth strategy.
 
You will have responsibility for the formulation, planning, and execution of all digital marketing programs from strategy though implementation.  You will lead, manage and mentor a team of digital marketing professionals charged with increasing site presence and traffic.  In addition, the position will be responsible for the following:
 
Responsibilities:

  • Planning all digital marketing strategies and programs; including SEO/SEM, database marketing, email marketing, social medial and display advertising.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the company's digital marketing agency as the marketing leader for the Digital/Unified Commerce division.
  • Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of social media presence on all platforms.
  • Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns, assessing actual performance against goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on landing pages and other processes designed to maximize the customer experience.
  • With the rest of the Digital/Unified Commerce team develop and implement new and creative growth strategies.
  • Manage the company's digital marketing budget.

 
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of experience and education, in Marketing, Advertising or a related field with an emphasis on Digital/eCommerce.
  • 5 to 10 years of eCommerce fulfillment experience.
  • Proven success in digital marketing.
  • Background developing and managing multi-million dollar budgets.
  • Experience with leading and managing outside agencies.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, etc.)
  • Experience setting up and optimizing Google Adwords.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript development and constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operational details while maintaining strategic understanding.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
