Digital Marketing Manager, Paid Search: Phoenix, AZ

The Digital Marketing Manager, Paid Search is responsible for customer acquisition that delivers on key performance indicators (KPIs) from digital media efforts and driving direct ecommerce sales. This role manages budget, strategy and execution of the paid search channel as part of the Digital team and works in partnership with internal and external teams to increase conversion and revenue.

This person will have an expert knowledge in paid search, extensive knowledge in Google Shopping (PLAs), display, remarketing, and affiliate marketing, excellent project management skills, and strong analytic capabilities in order to drive the company to achieve its performance based goals.

Responsibilities:
•Monitoring and developing strategies to grow market share through paid search
•Drives goals and a deep understanding of KPIs for the paid search channel to identify and report on business drivers
oMonitors progress and reports on weekly/monthly/quarterly progress
•Develops traffic forecast in conjunction with analytics and finance partners
oMonitors progress weekly/monthly/quarterly
•Directs execution all aspects of SEM with the goal of driving sales growth through the paid search channel
•Work proactively with the external search agency to implement recommendations for new and existing SEM programs, including but not limited to:
oSet priorities and goals with the agency of record
oWork closely with internal partners to support new initiatives
oKeyword, ad copy, & destination URL review and approval
oLanding page optimizations projects
oSupport the creation & delivery of various search reports to communicate campaign performance
oMonitors and reports progress of initiatives
•Monitors competitive activity in the paid search channel and adjusts strategy as needed
•Assists with creation of annual digital media plans, including vendor monetization opportunities
•Maintains project timelines and follow up with teams on deliverables
•Manages budget and invoice reconciliation
•Provides day to day management of key business relationships
•Assesses new opportunities, including developing test plans

Requirements:
•7-10 years experience in Digital Marketing, preferably in a retail or large corporate environment
•Proven track record with a multi-million dollar media budget (>$30M annually)
•Expert knowledge of paid search concepts
•Certification in Google Adwords required
•Advanced knowledge of third-party SEM platforms such as Kenshoo or Marin
•Intermediate to advanced knowledge of search engine marketing and optimization concepts
•Intermediate to advanced knowledge of remarketing programs
•Intermediate to advanced knowledge of affiliate programs
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
•Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required
•Demonstrable history in strong applied analytics as a foundation for decision making - a love of data, gleaning insights from data, and making decisions based on data.
•Results orientated with outstanding project management skills
•Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
•Ability to manage and communicate digital marketing as a business strategy
•Strong ability to effectively prioritize workload and perform in a fast pace environment
•Strong knowledge of web analytics software (Adobe Analytics & Google Analytics preferred)
•Understanding of HTML, CSS and code structure
