Business Solution Advisor: Chicago Suburbs or Atlanta

The Business Solution Advisor will collaborate with clients to understand their business model, current challenges and implications of longer-term strategies on end-to-end processes then deliver recommendations on transformation opportunities, standardization, governance, operational efficiencies, and technology solutions. Individuals in this role are expected to leverage their business and industry experiences to drive efficiencies and reduce complexity. The ideal candidate would have a broad range of business experiences, possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, and be able to understand enabling technologies to provide solutions to the clients. This position will also have responsibility to facilitate that business change or transformation activities occur earlier in the lifecycle with clients, and in cases of an implementation, ensure objectives are incorporated into project plans and delivered as part of the solution.

•Facilitate business change or transformation activities with clients in the context of changing business practices independent from or prior to the migration to new technology platform. At times, business change or transformation activities could occur in parallel with a technology implementation.
•Lead assessments to evaluate client business practices, associated pain points, long-term strategies and deliver recommendations on standardization, governance, operational efficiencies, and technology solutions.
•Leverage industry knowledge and experiences to provide new and alternative ways to address client problems by challenging the status quo operationally and strategically.
•Understand and leverage software release capabilities to provide solutions, drive efficiency and reduce complexity in client business model.
•Assist clients in the development of the business benefit cases associated with a business or technology change and the solution to measure actual results to expected benefits to gauge success of the intended change.
•In conjunction with an implementation, work with clients to migrate business changes or transformation activities to beginning of a project, ensure objectives are incorporated into project plans, monitor progress on changes during the project, and confirm activities are delivered with the technology solution.
•Build credibility with clients to become their trusted advisor to provide ongoing guidance on end-to-end business processes and technology solutions for longer-term business initiatives to expand the footprint
•Act as the liaison between the business and technical teams and solution capabilities. Recommend industry best practices
•In implementation engagements, review and document current client business processes, support and influence design of the future business process.
•Contribute to stakeholder alignment and organizational change management activities.
•Advise the client on any related deployments, data migration strategies, and assist in defining related test strategies on assigned projects.
•Participate in licensing activity to provide assistance to solve customer issues.

•Bachelor's degree required
•5-10 years of business experience in contract management, pricing, trade programs (e.g. channel tracking, MDF, sales rebates), vendor programs (e.g. chargeback or sales rebates), and/or performance based incentives
•Background in finance, sales, or marketing
•Business experience across multiple industries with a preference towards consumer packaged goods (Client), Life Sciences, Hi-Tech or in processes such as revenue management
•Demonstrated ability to understand and influence end-to-end business solutions
•Collaborative and consultative work style
•Advanced analytical skills with a track record in solving problems and software proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
•Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with unique ability to be a liaison across business teams and between business and IT groups
•Independent thinking with keen problem solving skills
•Willingness to travel up to 50-70%
