Credit Analyst: Pittsburgh, PA area
Expanding small Pittsburgh, PA area bank needs two credit analysts for growing department to analyze commercial loan accounts and determine financial condition and repayment capability of the customer to reduce the bank's exposure to losses.
Responsibilities:
Credit Analyst II:
Spreads and analyzes financial statements of customers to determine repayment capability; Prepares loan proposals for commercial lenders detailing the loan and deposit relationship(s) for each customer; Prepares various types of financial analyses and collateral evaluations; Responsible for preparing accurate loan request packages in a timely manner; Prepares various reports including the monthly delinquency report, the commercial real estate report and various other compliance reports; Train new credit analysts; Review loan requests as needed; Perform review of major commercial loan categories as assigned; Participates in special projects as assigned; Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates the ability to work independently. Works as a team player to contribute to the success of the department, and in turn, the organization.
Credit Analyst III:
Assumes the responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely credit analyses of commercial loan relationships, determines financial condition, debt repayment capability, and loan structure to mitigate risk, as well as assists the Credit Analysis Operations Managers in the review of credit analysts’ loan proposal packages. In addition, is the primary trainer of credit analysts, branch personnel and Commercial Lenders. In the absence of a Credit Analysis Operations Manager, assumes the responsibility for supervising the Bank’s Credit Analysis function to ensure a continuation of the department’s responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Assumes the responsibility for the efficient and effective operation of the credit analysis section in the absence of an Credit Analysis Operations Manager by performing the following functions:
a. Ensures that prescribed departmental schedules, operating policies and procedures are maintained while performing their job function.
b. Makes recommendations regarding improved operating systems and procedures.
c. Allocates, as well as, reviews work.
Prepares loan proposal packages based on input from lending officers; Spreads customer financial statements, using an automated spreadsheet package, to determine borrower’s debt repayment capability; Analyzes financial statements, as well as prepares project cash flows, rental analyses, TRMs, and Core reports; Review’s credit analysts’ loan proposal packages to ensure accuracy; Performs periodic review of various assigned industries and borrowers (special projects); Trains, reviews and assigns work to credit analysts/credit officers, branch personnel and commercial lending trainees; Prepares monthly loan delinquency report with graphs; Establishes loan conditions (loan covenants) and identifies potential problem loans; Makes recommendations in regards to improving the performance of the department; Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as the motivation to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department, and in turn, the organization.
Qualifications:
Must be able to provide clear verbal and written communication of loan proposals to upper management and loan officers. The bank is looking for 3-7 years related experience and someone interested in working in small community about 1 hour to Pittsburgh, Pa.
Compensation:
Salaries in the $55,000 to $75,000 range plus very good benefits, commensurate with education and experience.
