Construction Estimator
Our client is seeking an Estimator for their Western New York location to be directly responsible for organizing, supervising, scheduling and planning of multiple projects. Candidate will maximize cost efficiency and to complete each project assigned on time and under budget, provide technical expertise on site cost estimates, negotiate contract change orders, establish project objectives, maintain policies and procedures and will be responsible for all administration requirement and job costs as directed by the owners.
Other Responsibilities:
- Reviewing job costs and schedule status with owners and site superintendents
- Setting up and attending all project job site meetings when required.
- Reviewing job cost reports and schedule status information weekly. Notify Chief Estimator and Owner of deficiencies to assess alternatives and select a corrective course of action.
- Take-off, estimate and/or price out extra work, change order or potential projects as required.
Education:
Minimum of Associates Degree in Engineering or Construction Management required. Bachelors preferred.
Required:
Minimum 3 to 5 years of commercial construction estimating experience. Experience / expertise in construction of commercial management including design and layout and management of contracts and subcontractors. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Experience in costs, take offs, bid analysis. Must have experience as an Estimator. Computer literate with working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing and scheduling required.
Compensation :
$40,000 to $70,000 range commensurate with experience.
