Database Marketing/Analytics Analyst – Buffalo, NY suburb
Relocation assistance can be provided:
Provide analysis, forecasting and reporting that informs and improves the effectiveness of the planning, execution and optimization of marketing campaigns and online programs. Provide stakeholders with information and data they need for planning, analysis, and decision making. This position will work closely with those entities to understand key business drivers behind data requests. This position reports to the VP of Marketing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Define, establish, develop and manage the Marketing Analytics needs of Company •Customer Profiling
•Segmentation Analysis
•Survey design and analysis
•Data analysis and mining
•External data enhancement
•Develop in-house tools and applications to improve the Company’s ability to integrate and use the operational database
•Drive best in class analytics to support marketing and business needs
•Work with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements in order to design and develop analysis approaches tailored to the needs of the business
•Collaborate with the technology team to identify gaps in the data capture strategy and implement enhancements
•Identify marketing and customer segmentation opportunities and methodology
•Apply statistical modeling methodologies and build statistical models for behavioral predictions
•Recommend changes to existing policies and processes that will result in improved business results
•Work with cross-functional business partners to collect data, create hypotheses, and corroborate findings
•As part of ongoing work and interaction with the broader team, identify new opportunities to use modeling and advanced analytics to drive business value and educate the organization about analytical concepts and thought processes
•Actively design and implement predictive models and analytical structures for the data warehouses
Communicate results in a clear, thorough, and compelling way
•Assist in requirements gathering and testing of new analytical processes that will be used by the business
•Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and training materials for end users who need to understand how to interpret and apply the results of particular analysis
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics or any related field
•5 years experience in a direct marketing or customer relationship management environment
•Broad and deep understanding of database structures and data mining technologies. Understands database technology
•Experience utilizing statistical techniques to solve problems
•Proficiency in spreadsheet applications, databases / SQL querying and programming
•Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
•Demonstrated use of statistical modeling
•Experience with multivariate testing
