Relationship Marketing – Sr. Account Executive: Des Moines, IA
Our client, a global leader in promotions and retail marketing, is looking for a talented Relationship Marketing professional. Reporting to the Director of Relationship Marketing, this position will be responsible for the development and day-to-day management of relationship marketing programs to support assigned clients. Coordinate all aspects of the programs including strategic planning, execution and reporting. The role supports clients directly and provides strategic leadership in the effective implementation of database and relationship marketing principles and techniques for the clients business.
Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for ampaign planning including contact plan development, channel integration, test methodologies, reporting plans and on-going optimization on future campaigns. Management of the creative process including development of creative briefs, communication with creative resources on relevant segmentation to develop targeted direct response creative. Responsible for collaboration with the Analytics group on lists, data processing, test design and corresponding reporting and analysis. Coordination with the production innovation group to deliver efficient and cost effective direct mail to deliver on client objectives. Responsible for the integration and application of Digital and IT strategies and associated resources for relationship marketing campaigns. Initiate and cultivate relationships of cross-functional agency teams and managers, specifically client service, account planning and ideation, digital, creative and production innovation. Develop and nurture solid working relationships with key client contacts. Participates in the development and promotion of strategic relationship marketing solutions to meet client business objectives. Financial responsibilities including management of costs associated with campaigns, collaboration with accounting department and development of applicable documentation based on agency processes. Supports cross sell initiatives of CRM services to existing clients as well as participate in new business opportunities to help identify relationship marketing opportunities. On-going education and guidance of basic relationship marketing principles and techniques within the RM team and agency resources to promote continuous improvement toward the goal of providing fully integrated marketing solutions for our clients.
Qualifications:
Include BS degree in Marketing with 4-6 years of applicable experience with a minimum of 3 years in a direct marketing role with at least two years with a marketing agency preferred. Experience in direct marketing project management with a proven record of executing detailed projects and demonstrating critical decision making skills. Thorough understanding of direct marketing creative strategy. General knowledge of database management and core principles of data driven direct marketing systems and processes including testing and tracking. Ability to manage daily interaction with clients including leading client-facing meetings. Ability to work independently and with others as part of a team with integrity, professionalism, and dependability. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills required. Must be familiar with the use of presentations, conference reports, status reports, Agency Point of View’s.
