Strategic Planning Analyst: Los Angeles area
Our client, a multi-channel retailer, is looking for a Strategic Planning Analyst in their Westlake Village, CA offices. This role is in the Strategic Planning Group.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for highly motivated candidates to support the strategic planning group. A qualified candidate will:
• Perform complex analyses and advise management on data interpretation for developing operating and strategic plans
• Develop financial models to be used across the enterprise
• Communicate the results of analysis effectively to senior management to drive key decisions
• Present findings utilizing charts and diagrams to relate the findings of analysis and recommend key decisions
• Interact with leaders across Company to gather information
• Access data warehouse systems to obtain data for analysis
• Ensures that outputs, products, and services are of high quality
• Listens actively, reflects, and summarizes others’ comments to ensure understanding
• Effectively synthesizes quantitative information to draw accurate conclusions
• Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in response to obstacles, constraints, adversity, and mistakes
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting, MBA preferred
• Minimum of 2-4 years of solid and directly related experience required
• Advanced excel modeling skills, experience with Essbase, PowerPoint, SQL and MS Access preferred (access to EDW)
• Strong interpersonal skills and well-developed written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Must have excellent analytical (critical thinking) and organizational skills and demonstrate a great attention to detail
• Must be flexible to working overtime and traveling
• Prefer candidates from a big consulting firm
