IT Manager: North town suburban Buffalo, NY
JOB OVERVIEW:
-Manage the development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of all IT systems, including ERP, servers, PCs, operating systems, telecommunications infrastructure, hardware, software, and peripherals.
-Makes recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
-Develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
-Helps develop and oversee implementation of IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provisions.
-Manages IT staff, including supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
-Establishes and maintains regular communications with executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
-Works closely with decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
-Manages problem solving related to IT business systems. Provide users with technical support for computer problems.
-Establishes appropriate levels of security and safeguards to systems and business data.
-Provide operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources
-Assigns responsibilities and tasks to individuals based on their skill level, task requirements, and company business needs. Empowers individuals to carry out assignments with appropriate levels of supervision
-Performs other duties as assigned
SKILLS REQUIRED:
-Proven experience in IT systems & infrastructure planning and development
-Experience supporting telecommunications infrastructure and its associated software
-Management experience with management and implementation of ERP systems
-Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
-Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
-Highly self-motivated and directed
-Strong Project Management skills plus keen attention to detail
-Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
-Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
-Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
-3 to 5 years management experience overseeing the day-to-day operations for the development, implementation, administration and support of the company’s IT work
COMPENSATION:
Salary range $65,000 to $70,000 commensurate with education and experience, bonus opportunity available. Full company benefit package offered including 401k and health package.
