Marketing Analytics Manager: New York City, NY
The primary role of this position will be to implement research projects to identify and solve business issues, both strategic and tactical. The Marketing Analytics Manager will provide high quality data analysis and campaign management functions for the Marketing Department. Projects include creation of marketing campaigns, tracking of response and sales data, model development, ad hoc analysis and organization of various information sources. In addition, the Manager will create a competitive advantage for the company by delivering actionable and insightful models that increase acquisition of new clients and lifetime value. This individual will have a direct and immediate impact on the business.
Key Responsibilities:
-3-5 yrs in a database marketing environment or as a business analyst in a systems environment
-Experience accessing a MSSQL DWH directly using SQL
-Strong PC skills with advanced Microsoft Access and Excel knowledge
-BtoC experience required
-Analytical orientation and strong problem solving skills. Propose and lead innovative mathematical approaches to solving complex business problems, utilizing available research
-Ability to prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Collaborate extensively with stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet business needs, permit valid inferences, and have functional implementability
-Excellent written/verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize information to key takeaways to communicate with senior management
-Experience using college level statistics in a web environment (SAS plus)
-Mutivariate testing (Test &Target specifically a plus)
Job Requirements:
-Actively design and implement predictive models and analyses that drive new subscriber acquisition channels. Understanding the business in depth and partnering directly with channel owners will be key to success
-Proactively identify new trends and/or opportunities to use predictive modeling and statistics to drive business value throughout marketing and the company. Though he/she will be focused on new subscriber acquisition, actionable insights that impact any core part of the business will be welcomed. Strong analytical skills and a good working and theoretical knowledge of statistics
-Explore trends in the business using various data mining techniques to create actionable insight, both proactively and in response to channel owners' requests
-Conceptualize and champion tests geared toward continually improving business results. New ideas will come in from everywhere, but ultimately, the Manager is responsible for recognizing the good ideas and turning them into actionable models
Other Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business administration or computer science or the equivalent of training and experience
-At least 3 years experience in online marketing / search marketing / ecommerce
-A self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision. Desire to work in an entrepreneurial high growth environment
