Embedded Software Engineers - Rochester, NY
Our client is a fast paced and growing Medical Device company. They develop and manufacture life saving technology that is at the forefront of patient safety. Their medical devices are striving to eliminate adverse events reducing risk for hospitals, clinicians and patients.
They are looking for experienced, versatile Embedded Software Engineers for immediate permanent openings.
Duties:
• Design, develop and debug software for a revolutionary medical devices using C/C++ in a Real-Time Operating System.
• Duties include developing software for this device as well as improving existing product designs.
• Responsible for all aspects of software development projects, version control, maintain all documentation related to FDA requirements for software verification and validation.
• Sign off on software releases that meet specified operational requirements, and have been adequately tested, including verification and validation testing.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have a positive attitude, be a team player, and experience with some or all of the following:
• Good software development practices and methodologies.
• Experience with RTOS ports to custom hardware (such as Kadak and Kwikpeg).
• Embedded ARM Microprocessors/Microcontroller SOC devices.
• In-Circuit debuggers/emulators.
• Device driver development which may include some hardware debugging.
• Programming an embedded application in C or C++ and Assembly
• Experience developing on Freescale MX ARM family and/or Sharp LH79520 SOC, safety critical software application development is a plus.
Education:
• Minimum requirements are a BSCE/BSEE/BSCS degree and 2 years of experience.
Salary Range:
$70,000 to $90,000 commensurate with education and experience, plus annual bonus up to 30%.
